How To Make A Living Online

I recently came across a site called Make-A-Living-Online that really caught my attention. You see, I've been trying to do just that for a few months now, and much to my chagrin, I've made very little. I keep asking myself "Why?" What is it that I'm doing wrong. Well, there are many reasons to be quite honest. The first and foremost being I didn't do my research about the various "opportunities" I chose to pursue and, quite honestly got caught up in all the hype. "Make $1,000 a day starting tomorrow" or "Work 1 hour a day and make $500,000 by next week". These and the ideas of getting rich quickly simply aren't feasible, and now I know that. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way, but it was indeed an education that I've thoroughly enjoyed. So, money well spent, I suppose.

With that said, I want to provide my opinion on this guide to doing business on the internet. The fact remains that there many making a very decent living using their computer from home. I know it's being done and I am determined to do it also. What this guide has given me is a starting point, an honest to goodness starting point. You see, I had no starting point before. What I realize and what this guide has taught me is that it's a building process that takes time. And without all the components in place to go from point A to point B, you will get absolutely nowhere. This guide has, in simple, understandable terms, given me every aspect of a successful home based internet business. I have until now been unable to find anything like it, anywhere. It's the greatest piece of advice I've come across and it is now, my business bible. I am in the process of creating my own products, something I own. It's an incredibly rewarding process. How much time will it take me, I can't say. But I do know that with this information I will definitely find my success.

Everyone likes to talk, at least a little. And, everyone has an
opinion, sometimes it's worthwhile, sometimes not. When starting
a home business, word of mouth is one the most effective marketing
tools available, and the best part is it's FREE. Getting the word
out about your business, your products and your opportunity is going
to propel you to the success your desire. One method of spreading
the word is participating in forums.

The growth of the internet is really powerful and it's still growing
at an amazing rate. Using forums as a marketing tool is virtually
unlimited because it gives you access to a global market. There are
thousands of forums to choose from and finding one that has
participants from your target market or niche is simple with just a
search. Once you've found several, explore them and find one you're
comfortable with. Then simply register and start talking.

Once you've registered, find a thread that's peaks your interest and
post. However, the key to using forums successfully is through
adding value. You do this by actually participating in conversations
and posting your opinions or advice. You cannot just enter a forum
thread and promote your business. That would turn readers off and
ruin your credibility immediately. It's essential to view this as
a process of gaining trust with other participants, thus building
your credibility and ultimately introducing interested prospects to
your products or opportunity. Remember, every time you post, you
create a link back to your website through your signature file. Your
sig file will be there indefinitely where prospects can access your
website far into the future.

Forum participation has actually two advantages. The first of course
is getting the word out about your business. The second, and
possibly even more advantageous than the first, is education. Often
by reading various threads, you will pick up some really great
information that can be applied directly to your business. Access
to new ideas on creating success in your business will keep you ahead
of the curve. So, find a forum, post your opinions, feed your mind
and finally, have fun.

The Secret of Your Success

The Secret of Your Success

How often have you come across an opportunity that claims to know
the secret or secrets to earning a massive residual income from
home? Countless times no doubt. I see them everyday while
clicking for credits or in my email inbox. They all claim they
have the right system, right program or the right formula that
will make you successful from home. What they don't tell you
is that they merely want you to sign up for their opportunity
so they can make more money themselves. They also fail to
reveal the absolute most important secret to being successful
from home.

The one REAL secret to being a success from your living room is YOU.
That's right. You are the single most important factor in building
a successful income from home. It is your motivation, your attitude,
your tenacity and your mindset. If you think success and are
persistent in your goals, you will find success. If you imagine
yourself driving your dream car enough, your subconscious will begin
to believe it is so. It is your subconscious that drives your
conscience thoughts.

A really great exercise that is truly motivating is sit down and let
your imagination go as far as it can go. Think about all the things
you truly want in your life. Now, write it down. That's the fun part.
Take your time and let your mind take you as far as it can see.
Dont' be shy or embarrassed to write it down thinking someone might
see it or tell you these things are impossible. If you just do it,
you now have a list of the things you most desire in life. With this
list, you can go back on a daily basis and re-read it, out loud to
your self.

By doing this exercise, you will create the right mindset in your
subconscious that will ultimately drive your conscious thoughts. In
doing so, you will work toward these desires and you won't stop until
you've reached them. It's really quite amazing how this works and
it will ultimately provide you with the motivation, the attitude, the
tenacity and the focus you need to be a success from home.

Avoiding Home Business and Residual Income Scams

There are so many opportunities to chose from and many of them are
broken promises or out right scams. Deciding which ones are
legitimate is hard and scams, unfortunately, are a real problem.
Residual income opportunities are too often a large source for these
scams, but lucky for those looking to start in self employment, not
every residual income or home business opportunity is fraudulent.
In fact, many are legitimate and actually provide a very decent
income. To make a good decision on where to start you must first
know the signs of a scam. Then once the scams are sifted through
a person can make a really great income.

The first and most important rule in avoiding scams is to never pay
for a job. Any opportunity that asks you to pay just to work is not
worth it. For every one of these opportunities there are numerous
real opportunities that are FREE. The only time spending money for
a job is appropriate is when the company gives you something in
return. For example, paying for sample products or, as many direct
sales jobs require, buying a start up kit. The problems begin when
a company wants a person to pay for nothing such as administrative
costs or processing which are best left unpaid. There are many more
options and spending money to sign up for an opportunity is just
not a good idea.

What follows is a list which gives an idea of some other things
to watch out for to help avoid scams. There should be consideration
given too all of them when thinking about any opportunity. By
considering them, you can avoid wasting time and money on
something that will never help build a home business and/or
residual income.

1. A good support network. Every business opportunity should
offer several different kinds of support through training, mentoring
and how-to's. The idea behind most residual income opportunities is
to have sponsor support. Building a strong team that works together
to form a sound business is key. If there is no support then success
will be elusive.

2. Good products or services that are in demand. The products and
services should be real and something that people want to purchase.
If nobody wants to buy what is on offer, then the chances of the
business surviving are slim.

3. Getting started is not difficult and overpriced. If the company
makes getting started too hard then problems will most likely arise.
A hard to start business could easily make a person give up before
reaching any level of success or it could lead to serious future
problems in keeping the business going.

4. Staying power. The company to get involved with should be built
to last. They should have a good reputation and solid business
practices. If there are any signs of weakness then the business
would not provide a dependable way to build an income.

If all of the above are given serious consideration before committing
to start a home business or residual income opportunity, then the
chances of finding success and staying power are far greater. If
there is anything about a company that makes you pause and
question, it's in your best interest to move on to the next
opportunity. As stated before, there are numerous fantastic
opportunities out there to bring the kind of success many dream
about.
